A footer refers to the section at the bottom of a heyflow or webpage in general. It contains information that is consistent across all or most pages of a website.
The footer is separate from the main content area and the header, and it often includes elements such as:
- Contact information: Include your contact details or social media links.
- Legal and Compliance Information: Display important information that you always want accessible to your users like hyperlinks to your imprint, privacy policy, etc.
Let's see how you can add a footer to your heyflow!
Adding the footer to a page
To add the footer, follow these steps in edit mode:
- Navigate to the page on which you would like to add a footer.
- Click Show footer on bottom of the page.
This will add the footer to the page.
Remove the Footer from a page
To remove the footer, follow these steps in edit mode:
- Select the footer in your flow.
- Then click on Layers on the left side.
- Next to “Footer,” click the three dots and select “Hide from this page.”
This will remove the footer from the page.
Editing the footer
Just as you can customize any page, you can also customize the footer templates – however, with a different selection of blocks. Simply drag and drop your preferred building block into the footer on one of your pages, and it updates the footer for all pages automatically.
Designing the footer
There are multiple ways to adjust the footer, even more than described above. Head to the Design on the right, and you can see the option of the footer. You can dive deeper into all spheres of design & look.
