Video Block

Embed your YouTube or Vimeo videos into your heyflow

Updated over a week ago

Engage users visually, share important information, or greet visitors with a personal message by embedding a YouTube or Vimeo video into your heyflow.

Change the Settings

After clicking on a building block, you’ll find the Settings section on the right. This is where you can customize the block’s style, appearance, and behavior to tailor it perfectly to your flow.

General

Under General insert a video link; we support YouTube and Vimeo. You can customize the behavior and appearance of your embedded video player. Hide player controls removes elements like the play button for a cleaner interface.

Enabling privacy-enhanced mode ensures that YouTube does not store information about visitors on your website unless they play the video. The loop video option makes the video automatically start over once it finishes, and display closed captions allows subtitles to be shown if available.

Activating disable keyboard control prevents users from using keyboard shortcuts, such as fast-forwarding. On iOS devices, videos normally play in full screen, but enabling inline playback on iOS lets the video play inline instead.

You can also define when the video should start using start at second, allowing you to skip directly to the important parts. Finally, the ratio option lets you adjust the aspect ratio of the video, which defaults to 16:9 but can be changed as needed.

Appearance

Set the block’s visibility to show only on mobile, desktop, or hide it completely. Additionally, you can select a background color for the block.

Spacing

Control the block’s layout by adjusting its width (S, M, L, or maximum) and setting the block's padding from the top, bottom, left, and right.
