Connect WhatsApp directly to your Heyflow - no custom code or workarounds needed - and automatically send personalized WhatsApp messages to leads after they submit a funnel.


Setup

❗Before you start, make sure the WhatsApp Business app is installed and set up on your phone, with your phone number already verified. This way, you’ll be able to view and reply to any messages you receive later.

Connecting your account

❗You have to be an admin of the business portfolio in order to connect the account.

  1. Within your funnel, go to “Connect” and then to the tab “Custom Auto Replies”

  2. Click on “WhatsApp reply” and "Add account", a pop-up window will appear and ask you to provide your Meta credentials.

  3. Select your business portfolio.

  4. Connect your existing WhatsApp Business App. Click on Next and finish the account connection.

  5. Now, you can select the phone number you want to use for sending your WhatsApp messages.

  1. Make sure the Phone Number block already includes a System Label.

  2. Select the Heyflow field that contains the lead's phone number.

Selecting and customizing the Message template

  1. Select the WhatsApp message template you'd like to use. If you want to create a new template, you can do so directly in your WhatsApp Business account.

  2. You can see the message preview, including the header, content, and footer.

  3. To personalize the message with inputs from the flow, you need to set up message template variables in WhatsApp. In Heyflow you can then map Heyflow fields to the WhatsApp variables.

  4. Click on Connect to set the integration live.

🔎 You can create and update the message templates in your WhatsApp Business account in your Meta dashboard.

Do we have additional costs?

From Heyflow's side, there are no extra costs. For any other costs, refer to Meta's pricing.

Can I connect multiple Meta accounts?

Yes, you can connect multiple Meta accounts to different flows.

Can I add an attachment to the message?

Yes, you can attach a media sample to the message directly in the template in Meta.

Can I create a follow-up message or workflow?

No, Meta currently doesn't allow sequences, but only one-time messages.

Can I send different WhatsApp messages depending on the users' input?

No, we currently do not offer any logic in the WhatsApp integration.

As an agency, can I connect my customer account?

Yes, you would need access to their meta account or be an admin of the customer's account.

Can I use different accounts for different funnels?

Yes, you can use different WhatsApp accounts for different funnels.
