Headline Block

Updated over 3 weeks ago

The Headline Block lets you display a prominent text element that captures attention and guides your visitors through the flow. Use it to introduce sections, emphasize key messages, or set the tone for the next step. Since the headline is often the first real piece of information your visitors see, it’s an essential element to make your message clear and impactful.

In this article, you'll learn how to update the block's content, its settings and design.

Update the Content

After clicking on a building block, you’ll find the Content section on the right. Add a question or a short description here. You can also use variables as dynamic content from previous inputs.

When you select the text, a toolbar appears with formatting options, links, and calculations (formulas). This lets you adjust the heading, text color, or style (bold, italic, underlined).

Change the Settings

After clicking on a building block, you’ll find the Settings section on the right. This is where you can customize the block’s options, appearance, and behavior to tailor it perfectly to your flow.

General

Under General select the placement of the text. The text can be centered, left-aligned or right-aligned.

Appearance

Set the block’s visibility to show only on mobile, desktop, or hide it completely. Additionally, you can select a background color for the block.

Spacing

Control the block’s layout by adjusting its width (S, M, L, or maximum) and setting the block's padding from the top, bottom, left, and right.

Design your Block

After clicking on a building block, you’ll find the Design section on the right. You can quickly change every heading individually.

When you apply a design to one block type, it automatically updates all blocks of that type across your flow. This keeps your design consistent, clean, and easy to maintain without styling each block manually.

Best Practices & FAQ

❓ Does Heyflow support right-to-left languages (RTL)?

Heyflow does not natively support right-to-left (RTL) language text directionality. To address this limitation, users can manually enter text in reverse or paste it from an external editor to mimic RTL formatting. Additionally, uploading custom fonts for specific languages can ensure better visual consistency.
