The One-Time-Password (OTP) validation feature of our Phone Block automatically verifies phone numbers by sending an SMS with a code that visitors can enter in your funnel.
This way, you can easily improve the accuracy and validity of contact information and increase lead quality.
💡 Our Phone Block also includes a network validation feature to automatically check whether the number your visitor has entered is registered with a legitimate carrier. Find out more here.
How does it work?
Whenever one of your funnel visitors enters a phone number into the phone block, our system will automatically send an SMS to that number with a verification code. In your funnel, the user will then be able to insert the code. This confirms the number works for SMS and that the person has access to it.
This service is nearly available worldwide. We can guarantee it to work for all carriers for the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland), the UK, USA and Canada.

The first 100 validations are free (one-time). After that, it depends on how many validations you're using per month (usage rates are reset every month):
1-10.000 validations: €0.17/US$0.20 per validation
10.001-20.000 validations: €0.15/US$0.18 per validation
20.001-100.000 validations: €0.12/US$0.15 per validation
>100.000 validations: €0.11/US$0.13 per validation
The total of all SMS validations within a billing period will be added to your bill. You can always check your total for your current billing period in the “Modules” tab.
Setup
Add the phone number block to your funnel.
Click on the block to open the block settings.
If you're using the feature for the first time, in the tab “Modules” under settings, click on “Enable Module” to activate the OTP SMS validation.
Also, click on "Enable paid module" after. Once you have initially activated this module, you can add it to any other funnel by enabling OTP SMS Validation in the “Validation” tab in the block settings.
To give your users a clear and consistent experience, you can customize the text (copy) for each step of the validation flow. The following options are available:
Request Code: Label for the button that sends a validation code, e.g. “Request SMS code”
Validation Prompt: Message prompting users to enter the code they received, e.g. “Enter the SMS code to verify your phone number.”
OTP Validation Error Message: Message shown if validation fails, e.g. “Please validate your phone number.”
Change Phone Number: Label for the option to enter a different phone number, e.g. “Change phone number”
Success Message: Message shown once the phone number has been successfully verified, e.g. “Your phone number has been successfully confirmed.”
System Label: Also, you can add an internal System Label for this block, which shows you if a phone number has been validated or not in your response.
If you enable the "Optional" Option, you allow submitting the response even with failed validation.
Publish your funnel and only receive validated phone numbers!

How to disable the OTP SMS validation
For individual funnel
Click on the phone block within the relevant funnel.
In the block settings, scroll to “Validation” and unselect the OTP SMS validation checkbox.
Repeat this process for all phone blocks that are used in your funnel.
Publish your funnel. The OTP SMS validation will remain active until your funnel has been re-published.
For all funnel
Click on your credentials in the top right corner and then go to “Modules”.
Here, select “Disable module” next to “OTP SMS validation”.
A pop-up window will open. Confirm your choice by clicking on “Disable module”.
❗ Please note: When you enable the OTP SMS validation again after you have disabled it via the Modules tab, it will automatically be enabled for all funnel it has been activated for previously.
