AI-Generated Elements

Describe the element you need, or attach a screenshot, and Heyflow AI builds it for you. It embeds native Heyflow blocks, such as text, buttons, and images, which you can edit like any other block in your flow.

⭐ Available on all plans.

🔎 Generating elements uses AI credits. See How Heyflow AI Credits Work.

Generate an element

  1. Open your flow in the editor.

  2. Open Heyflow AI by clicking the sparkles icon in the “Build” section, or click the “+” button and select “Generate with AI”.

  3. Type your prompt and send it.

💡 To build from a screenshot, click “+” in the chat field and attach the image.

Example prompts

  • “Add a hero banner with a background gradient, headline, and CTA”

  • “Build a testimonial slider with a picture, quote, and 5-star rating”

  • “Add a countdown timer”

  • “Create a two-column pricing table”

If the first result isn’t quite right, refine your prompt and regenerate. Small wording changes can make a big difference to the output.

❗ There’s currently no history or undo. Regenerating replaces the element, including any changes you made to its content or HTML.

Edit a generated element

You can edit a generated element in three ways:

  • Edit text directly in the preview.

  • Select the element and use the “Content” tab in the right-hand panel.

  • Edit the element’s HTML directly.

The native blocks inside the element work like regular blocks, so you can change their settings in the right-hand panel as usual.

Design

Generated elements are styled automatically to match your flow’s theme. The native blocks inside them work like any other native block. If you change your flow’s theme or the design settings for that block type, they update automatically.

❗ The generated layout around the native blocks is styled once, when it’s generated, and doesn’t update after theme changes. To resync it, regenerate the element. This replaces any edits you’ve made.
