How credits work
Credits are consumed whenever Heyflow's AI does work on your behalf.
Chatting with the AI to build or edit a flow uses credits.
Running Brand Hub research on a company uses credits.
Usage is metered by how much the AI actually does. A quick message uses far fewer credits than a full Brand Hub research run.
There is no per-action cost shown. Your total usage increases as you use AI features.
Credits included per plan
Plan | Monthly AI credits |
Starter | 500 |
Growth | 2,000 |
Scale | 5,000 |
Prime | 5,000 |
Legacy Basic Plan | 500 |
Legacy Pro Plan | 2,000 |
Legacy Business & Agency Plans | 5,000 |
When you sign up, your organization receives a one-time grant of 2,000 AI credits. These are separate from your plan's monthly allowance and let you try AI features right away.
❗ Pay-per-use extra credits aren't available during a trial. Upgrade to a paid plan first to enable them.
Extra usage (pay-per-use)
If you need more credits than your plan includes, an organization owner can enable extra usage from the "Plan" section:
Toggle on "Enable extra usage." Once your included credits run out, AI features keep working and extra usage is billed automatically.
Set a "Monthly extra usage limit" to cap your spend. Once you hit the cap, AI features pause until your credits reset.
💡 Setting a spending cap keeps costs predictable if your AI usage varies month to month.
Where to see your usage
Open your account settings.
Go to "Plan."
If AI usage tracking is enabled for your organization, you'll see:
Credits used out of your plan's monthly total
Your next credit reset date
A second meter showing extra credits used against your cap (if extra usage is enabled)
When credits reset
Credits reset once a month, on your organization's billing renewal date. If you’re on a yearly subscription, your credits reset each month on the same day of the month that your plan started. You can see this date in the Plan section of your Account Settings.
